Hey Ottawa buddy , please share me where I can find accurate information about IMS bearing failure and bore scoring for 997.1 and 997.2. I had a 997.1 and had unknown engine problems and I had to get rid of it. Now I’m back in market. I have heard that 997.1 is more raw and little less refined feeling than 997.2. I prefer that. Is that true? Is 997.2 is noticeably refined? I want to know if 997.2 can be raw enough to fulfill my Porsche dreams. Or should I take another risk and buy 997.1?

I had a 991.1 Turbo S and upgraded to a 991.2 Turbo S Cab… The 991.2 is so much better alot more refined and the cab feels much more tighter than the 991.1 coupe.

The 992 911 is when the 911 was more distinct than the Cayman. Prior 911 generations have much more in common with Caymans.

Fair review. You're an ENTHUSIAST. You have commitment issues. You are never satisfied for long. There are two markets for Tesla's. The brand new shiny toy with latest features and the used appliance market. For all practical purposes Tesla's don't get stolen. Fuel is in essence part of the cars initial price. Minimal refueling cost if you are not charging only at super charger stations. It's a putting around vehicle and not meant for road trimps. Less to go wrong with the vehicle but when it does it costs. In ten years I expect used model 3's to be the new Honda Civic.

Don't forget the security system... They may smash the windows or dent it but no one is going to bother stealing the car.

They fixed a lot of the issues you mentioned in the 2024s Tesla.

I had a deep scratch and gouge on one of my wheels. I lightly sanded with 100 grit, filled the deep gouge and scratches with JB Weld MarineWeld two-part epoxy. Waited an hour, sanded with 220 grit, cleaned and sprayed with RustOleum paint that matches perfectly. I did repairs on two wheels in 2hrs total. They look perfect. Total cost: $16.

what up with the shit turbos on the .2 is it only T models? Are they journal bearing? or faulty WG design? def go aftermarket turbo or send the turbos to us and have them modified (ceramic ballbearing) shouldn't be more than a grand in work! shop smarter not harder

Great Review! I never owned anything but a manual and I am going to keep it that. DCT is a great automatic but it’s still an automatic. DCT is a no brainer for racing/tracking but for every day street driving a manual is the way to go.

This scares me because my tendency is to find stuff and take it apart, but I don't do a good job of putting things back the way they were. I fear I might end up with a convertible after this.
